Safety Information
MWV Transportation Services, we train our drivers the proper way to handle our students and our overall customers’ behaviors, bullying prevention, first aid and CPR, and car seat systems and safe vehicle operation.
Our company’s vehicles are adequately well serviced during their suitable life expectancies. Whether the need is a minivan, passenger van, specialized wheelchair van or automobile, MWV Transportation Services has the well-equipped vehicles to accommodate every one of our consumers ‘service needs while following the state’s rules and regulations of the transportation industry requirements. We can be reach today to see and discuss your service need(s).
MWV Transportation Services Rules & Regulations:
- Each student must see that his/her backpacks, books, and personal belongings are kept out of the aisle.
- Special permission must be granted by school authorities to transport any large items.
- Students must avoid distracting the driver while driving, except in case of emergency.
- No student shall sit in the driver's seat, nor shall any student be to the immediate left or right of the driver.
- Students are to remain seated while the bus is in motion and are not allowed to get on or off the van until the van has arrive to its scheduled destination.
- Students must leave the van in an orderly manner.
- When boarding or leaving the van, students should be always in view of the driver.
- Students must cross the street only in front of the school bus van and never behind it.
- Students must not stand or play in the roadway while waiting for the school van. Students should leave home early enough (10 minutes) to arrive to school before their classes start.
- Self-discipline should be always exercised by students.
- Students should refrain from pushing, jumping seats, and shoving other students.
- Students may not eat and or drink while riding the school bus minivan.
- Students in violation are subject to disciplinary action.
- In the event of an actual emergency, emergency exit procedures, as established by the emergency exit drills, will be followed.
- The school district will hold the student or parent/guardian responsible for damage to company’s school van caused by the student.
- Students may not use company’s radios or stereo equipment while riding the school van.
- Students' misconduct on a school minivan will be sufficient reason to discontinue providing school van transportation to those students involved.
Inclement Weather Policy
Parents must plan with our office in advance if their students will not attend school so that we can plan our pick-ups and drop offs of our students/customers accordingly.
